Stepping into therapy can feel vulnerable. I want my clients to feel safe and heard while developing a supportive therapeutic relationship. While we all have experiences that shape who we are, we might get stuck in a place of feeling lost and alone.
My approach to therapy is client-centered, meaning you are the voice of your therapy journey. I enjoy helping people overcome trauma, childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. My approach as a therapist pulls from several theories including Emotionally Focused Therapy, interpersonal process, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches. I also use Brainspotting therapy to help client's access and process through events that other approaches may not be able to accomplish.
Trauma/PTSD
From childhood to adulthood, we all have experiences that shape who we are. Sometimes these experiences can overwhelm our capacity to fully process what happened. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome trauma. From a significant event to childhood trauma, I want to help my clients process what happened and get back to feeling like themselves again.
First Responders
As a therapist with experience as a first responder, I want to give those who serve a space where they feel safe to process all that the career can bring. I've been in your shoes. I understand the challenges and sacrifices that come with being a first responder. By working together we can process your experiences, develop resiliency, and help you reconnect with yourself and those around you.
Couples Counseling
Relationships are the foundations for safety and security. When we feel disconnected from our partner, life can begin to feel uncertain. I help couples recognize conflict patterns and develop healthy communication. I enjoy helping couples connect on a deeper level to experience a fulfillment and deep connection through intimacy, trust, communication and healthy attachment. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, an evidenced based approach to help you grow individually and as partners.
Brainspotting Therapy
I am a trained Brainspotting Therapist helping clients access and process through trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. Brainspotting allows us to access certain areas of the brain where memories and experiences are stored. From there we will work to process these experiences while allowing you to develop greater self awareness and work through negative beliefs.
