Marriage & Family Therapist-In Training

I’m so glad you’re here! Whether you're navigating a major life change, struggling with depression or anxiety, or simply feeling like you need a safe space to talk, you deserve to feel heard and understood. As your partner in this healing process, my goal is to create a safe and trusting environment where you can explore your concerns and discover your strengths.

I love working with all ages, with a special interest in working with children, teenagers, and young adults. I help these populations navigate all the challenges that come along with growing up in today’s world, including navigating social pressures, school stress, and family changes.

Child Therapy

I enjoy working with school aged kids in a variety of ways. Kids tend to work through their stressors and find solutions through a combination of play, creative expression like art and drama, and learning ways to identify their feelings and their needs. I get to know each child I work with to see what methods work best for them.

Working with kids does take a little time since we want kids to feel safe in the process. It’s a great skill for them to learn how to trust when it feels right to them, instead of when it's simply expected.

We do want parents involved in the child therapy process so they can get parenting support as well and learn how they can support their child at home between sessions.

Common issues I help kids with include:
  • Anxiety / Depression
  • Behavioral struggles
  • School stress
  • Emotion dysregulation – coping with big feelings
  • Coping with family stress
  • Coping with big changes at home or school
  • Friendships
Teens – Adults – Parents

I use a strengths-based approach with clients which helps to build skills and the confidence to cope with difficult situations and find solutions for moving forward.  I also incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you better understand yourself, your emotions, and your needs.  It also helps clients find the resources they have within themselves to face difficult situations both from the past and in the present.

As I help clients with their relationships, I use an attachment theory lens to help learn healthy relationships skills and build strong bonds together. We find that healthy attachment leads to improved mental and emotional health, and more resilience when coping with life’s challenges.

Common issues I work with:
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Social stressors
  • Confidence and self-worth
  • Academic and work stress
  • Relationship issues
  • Navigating life transitions
  • Self-criticism and people-pleasing
  • Stress management and coping skills

My genuine and non-judgmental style is focused on helping you gain a deeper understanding of your emotions and struggles. Together, we'll develop practical skills that lead to lasting change.

When I'm not in a session, you can find me enjoying my favorite hobbies, like crafting, reading, and finding new coffee shops. I also love spending time in nature, whether I'm camping or exploring new walking trails.

Ready to start this journey together? I'd be honored to support you.
