Engagement and wedding planning is an exciting time! We encourage couples on their way to the alter to spend some time laying a solid foundation for their marriage. A few premarital counseling sessions can make a big difference. Often things like family dynamics and differing financial approaches can come up for the first time during wedding planning.
You may find even during your dating years that you had concerns, or saw the start of stuck patterns of conflict, withdrawal, avoidance, or changes in intimacy. It’s a great idea to get help with these things early on, rather than after they’ve been stuck patterns for quite some time.
We spend time working with couples on communication skills, conflict resolution, roles, spirituality, family of origin and several other topics.
Premarital counseling can also be especially helpful for couples entering a second marriage with or without children.
